Brunson Town Council Meets First Monday Each Month

BRUNSON — On the first Monday of every month, the Brunson Town Council convenes in the Brunson Municipal Building at 6 p.m. The agenda is what you would expect from a small Lowcountry town: water rates, road maintenance, zoning requests, and budget line items that often run to four figures rather than five.
But the council's work matters to the 500-or-so residents who call Brunson home, and Hampton Hero is committed to covering it.
The Council
Brunson's current Mayor is Patricia Williams. The council's Mayor Pro-Tem is Marilyn Smart. Standing council members include Rocky Hudson Jr., Jennifer Jones, and Starling Forester.
Brunson's government operates lean. Town Council handles most administrative duties directly or through contracted services. The person who votes on your water bill is often the same person who answers the phone when you call to complain about it.
Recent Municipal Work
Public records indicate the Town of Brunson has been managing routine operations including budget allocation for Parks and Recreation, cemetery maintenance, and community infrastructure.
How to Participate
Brunson residents can attend council meetings in person at the Brunson Municipal Building. The town does not appear to livestream meetings, and agendas are typically posted on-site.
What Hampton Hero Is Doing Next: Hampton Hero has sent an email to Mayor Patricia Williams requesting information about the Town of Brunson's current priorities, budget highlights, and summer 2026 Parks and Recreation programs. If a response is received, this story will be updated.
